Hilton's esteemed luxury brand, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, is set to make its Texas debut with a new property in Fredericksburg's picturesque Hill Country. Scheduled to open in 2027, this development will feature 60 hotel rooms and suites, 37 multi-bedroom villas, and over 50 private residences, all situated less than a mile from downtown Fredericksburg.

The project is a collaboration between Hilton and Wine Country Hospitality Partners, a team comprising Auberge Resorts Collection founder Mark Harmon, luxury developer Robert Radovan, and advisor Tim Sparapani. The design will incorporate "authentically Texan" elements, offering guests expansive views of the Hill Country. Villas will include private plunge pools, outdoor courtyards, and specialized programming to enhance the luxury experience.

Dining options at the resort will be diverse, featuring an all-day restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar and lounge, a pool bar, and a grab-and-go juice bar. Additional amenities encompass over 11,000 square feet of spa and fitness facilities, two swimming pools, a kids' club, and 6,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, including a 4,000-square-foot event barn.

This venture marks a significant milestone in Hilton's strategy to expand its luxury portfolio across the Americas. The Waldorf Astoria brand currently operates more than 30 properties worldwide, with an additional 30-plus in development. Notably, the historic Waldorf Astoria New York is slated to reopen this year following an extensive renovation.

Fredericksburg, renowned for its burgeoning wine industry and scenic landscapes, is experiencing a surge in upscale developments. The introduction of the Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country is poised to elevate the region's status as a premier destination for luxury travelers seeking an authentic Texan experience.
