The world of luxury retail mourns the loss of a true icon as Zenaida “Nedy” Rustia Tantoco, the esteemed chairman and CEO of Rustan Commercial and Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI), has passed away at the age of 78 following heart surgery on Thursday night.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by her granddaughter, Nikki Huang, who shared a touching tribute on Instagram. “My queen, my retail fairy godmother, and my guardian angel. I love you Lola. I’ll miss you forever,” expressed Huang.
With over 40 years of invaluable experience in the retail industry, Tantoco leaves behind a legacy of innovation, dedication, and leadership. Since 2007, she has served as a director of SSI, guiding the company with her unparalleled vision and expertise.
