Genesis has introduced the 2026 G90 3.5T Prestige Black AWD as the most refined variant of its flagship sedan, positioning the model as a direct competitor to established European luxury marques in the full-size executive segment.
The vehicle represents the latest effort by Hyundai’s premium division to strengthen its standing in the global luxury car market. The Prestige Black trim emphasises visual distinction through darkened exterior accents, exclusive wheel designs and a more assertive styling profile. Beneath the design changes, the model integrates electrified performance technology intended to deliver both smoother power delivery and improved efficiency for long-distance driving.
At the centre of the sedan is a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine paired with an electric supercharger and a 48-volt electrified system. The combined setup produces 409 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered through an eight-speed automatic transmission with standard all-wheel drive, a configuration designed to prioritise refinement while maintaining responsive acceleration when required. The mild-hybrid assistance also contributes to fuel efficiency levels estimated at roughly 20 to 21 miles per gallon in the US testing cycle, supporting the vehicle’s positioning as a long-range grand touring sedan.
Ride comfort remains central to the G90’s engineering approach. An adaptive multi-chamber air suspension system adjusts damping and chassis behaviour across multiple drive modes, allowing the car to prioritise either comfort or a more controlled driving feel. In Comfort mode the system aims to absorb road imperfections with minimal disturbance, reinforcing the model’s focus on smooth travel rather than overt sporting performance.
The interior reflects the brand’s emphasis on high-end materials and passenger comfort. The cabin incorporates Nappa leather upholstery, dark wood finishes and distinctive black trim elements. Both front and rear occupants benefit from heated, ventilated and massage seats, while a wide digital interface integrates the instrument display and infotainment system. A premium audio system further contributes to the quiet, lounge-like cabin environment.
Safety and driver assistance technologies also feature prominently. The sedan includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping support, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with digital display alerts, a 360-degree camera system and multiple parking assistance features, highlighting Genesis’s strategy of combining luxury comfort with comprehensive technological capability.
