Ferrari has unveiled the 849 Testarossa, a stunning hybrid supercar that seamlessly blends the spirit of the iconic 1980s model with cutting-edge hybrid technology. This new release not only pays tribute to Ferrari’s rich heritage but also marks a significant step into the future of automotive performance.

The heart of the 849 Testarossa is a powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which generates 830 horsepower. When combined with three electric motors, the total power output soars to 1,050 horsepower, making it more powerful than Ferrari’s previous flagship, the SF90 Stradale. This hybrid powertrain enables the car to reach a top speed of over 330 km/h (205 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.3 seconds—remarkable figures that underline Ferrari's ongoing commitment to performance.

In terms of design, the 849 Testarossa evokes the sharp, aggressive lines of the 1980s original, while incorporating modern, high-tech elements. The car features active aerodynamics, including dual spoilers and underbody venturi tunnels that increase downforce, ensuring enhanced stability at high speeds. The overall aesthetic is both nostalgic and futuristic, ensuring that it captures attention on the road while delivering unparalleled performance.

Inside, the cabin offers a driver-centric experience with a minimalist digital interface, steering-wheel-mounted controls, and luxurious materials like leather, Alcantara, and carbon fibre. These features create an environment that prioritises both the driver’s comfort and the thrill of the drive, ensuring that the 849 Testarossa offers the ultimate luxury experience.

Available in both coupe and spider versions, the 849 Testarossa is priced at €460,000 and €500,000 respectively. European deliveries are expected to begin in late 2026, with the U.S. market following shortly after. This release solidifies Ferrari’s position at the forefront of the luxury hybrid supercar segment, blending performance, innovation, and timeless design.

As the automotive industry continues to embrace electrification, Ferrari’s 849 Testarossa stands as a testament to the brand’s ability to evolve while staying true to its legendary legacy.
