The 2026 Audi A6 enters the executive sedan segment with a comprehensive redesign that combines traditional performance credentials with a technology-led interior. As a ninth-generation model, it reflects Audi’s effort to balance established luxury cues with a more digital-forward identity.

The new A6 is powered exclusively by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6, replacing the previous entry-level four-cylinder option. The engine produces 362 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, representing gains over the outgoing V6 variant. Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive, the saloon delivers a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds. A mild hybrid system supplements low-speed responsiveness, contributing to smoother power delivery. The model is built on Audi’s Premium Platform Combustion architecture, with recalibrated steering and, on higher trims, adaptive air suspension designed to enhance ride refinement and cornering composure.

Externally, the A6 adopts design cues aligned with Audi’s electric line-up, including slim matrix LED headlights and a reinterpreted Singleframe grille incorporating driver-assistance sensors. At the rear, a digital OLED light bar replaces conventional tail-lamps and can display status messages when the vehicle is in certain automated modes. The saloon has grown in size, with a longer wheelbase contributing to increased rear passenger space.

Inside, the cabin centres on a multi-screen configuration. An 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster is complemented by a 14.5-inch infotainment display and an optional 10.9-inch passenger screen. The Google-based interface integrates navigation and applications, while most physical controls have been replaced with touch-sensitive inputs. Audi has indicated that forthcoming updates will reintroduce selected dedicated controls. A standard electrochromic glass roof, adjustable from clear to opaque in segments, further underscores the model’s emphasis on technology-driven comfort.

Pricing begins at $65,395 including destination for the Premium trim and exceeds $80,000 for the fully equipped Prestige version. By standardising the V6 and expanding digital features, Audi positions the A6 as a performance-oriented yet understated proposition within a highly competitive luxury saloon market.
