Accor has announced its newest venture, assuming management of The Mozart Prague hotel. Situated in the heart of the Czech capital’s Old Town district, this historic gem will undergo an extensive renovation before joining the esteemed Sofitel Legend brand.

Owned by the Courbet group and steeped in the Ott family’s heritage since 1999, The Mozart Prague boasts a rich history dating back to the 17th century. Its illustrious guest list includes luminaries such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Richard Wagner, and more recently, Vaclav Havel.

Joining the Sofitel Legend portfolio as its seventh property, The Mozart Prague epitomises timeless elegance. From inspiring literary masterpieces to witnessing iconic moments in history, this hotel has played a pivotal role in shaping cultural narratives. Notably, it was where Mozart composed six German dances.

This addition marks the second Sofitel Legend in Europe, aligning the historic site with esteemed counterparts worldwide, including iconic destinations like Amsterdam, Aswan, Cartagena, Hanoi, and Xi’an.

Undergoing a meticulous renovation program led by architect Ivo Nahalka, the hotel will soon boast enhanced luxury amenities, including a new globally renowned restaurant. While retaining its existing signage during the transition, The Mozart Prague is poised to reopen its doors as the Sofitel Legend The Mozart Prague by 2027.

As history meets modern luxury, The Mozart Prague promises to captivate guests with its timeless charm and refined hospitality, ensuring an unforgettable experience in the heart of Prague’s enchanting Old Town.
