Roger Vivier unveils an exciting collaboration with Academy Award winner Laura Dern in the launch of the Vivier Express ‘Travelling Icons’ video series. This innovative project, conceived by creative director Gherardo Felloni, introduces whimsical short films that celebrate the Maison’s iconic designs through unexpected narratives.
The Vivier Express continues a tradition of captivating short films for the label, featuring esteemed personalities such as Isabella Rossellini, Isabelle Huppert, Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon, and Catherine Deneuve. Italian director Nicolangelo Gelormini, screenwriter Andrea Danese, and Studio Paura have collaborated with the brand since 2018, bringing their expertise to this latest endeavour.
In the inaugural episode, Laura Dern’s character embodies the essence of the Viv’ Choc handbag against a backdrop of enchanting landscapes. As the train journeys through cinematic vignettes, each frame captures the craftsmanship and innovation of Roger Vivier while showcasing Dern’s timeless elegance and allure on screen.
Gherardo Felloni expresses his delight in communicating Roger Vivier’s aesthetic through cinema, drawing inspiration from the House’s historic connection to Hollywood and European cinema. He praises Dern’s rare charisma and cites her performances in David Lynch films as a source of inspiration.
