Mercedes-AMG is introducing a new entry-level model to its GT lineup, the GT 43, offering a more affordable option without compromising performance. Priced about $16,000 less than its predecessor, this sleek sports car boasts a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and rear-wheel drive.

Despite its downsized engine, the GT 43 packs a punch with its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, delivering an impressive 416 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. With a zero-to-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 174 mph, it offers an exhilarating performance that doesn’t disappoint.

One standout feature is the 48-volt-powered electric turbocharger, derived from Formula 1 technology, ensuring exceptional throttle response throughout the rev range. This innovative addition enhances performance and efficiency, elevating the driving experience to new heights.

Compared to its V8-powered counterparts, the GT 43 benefits from rear-wheel drive, enhancing handling dynamics with its lighter weight distribution. Paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission featuring a wet start-off clutch, this model promises an engaging and responsive driving experience.

Visually, the GT 43 boasts distinctive design elements, including a black trim across the front bumper, a grille without a black frame, and sleek oval exhaust tips. Inside, drivers will find the signature 2+2 seating layout, a digital instrument cluster, and the advanced MBUX infotainment system.

The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 43 is set to arrive in showrooms soon, offering enthusiasts a compelling combination of performance, style, and value. Pricing details are yet to be announced, but anticipation is high for this exciting addition to the GT lineup.
