This move solidifies the partnership between Marriott International and NEOM, a giga-project in Saudi Arabia.

The opening of these new hotels aligns with Trojena’s mission to redefine mountain tourism globally, emphasising ecotourism and sustainable luxury. Chadi Hauch, the Regional Vice President of Lodging Development for the Middle East at Marriott International, expressed excitement about this collaboration with NEOM, highlighting how both brands, W Hotels and JW Marriott, align with NEOM’s vision of innovation, creativity, design, and exploration.

Here are some key details about the two hotels:

1. W Hotel in Trojena: This hotel will be located within the Lake Village area and will feature 236 guest rooms, including 47 suites. Guests can enjoy picturesque mountain and freshwater lake views, enhancing their luxury experience.

2. JW Marriott in Trojena: The JW Marriott will be situated in The Bow, a futuristic water world concept that blends nature with technology. The hotel will offer a total of 500 luxury rooms and suites, as well as entertainment facilities such as a ballroom, meeting spaces, and five dining venues.

Philip Gullett, Executive Director of Trojena, emphasised how Trojena’s central location, high elevation mountain landscape (up to 2,600 meters), and natural surroundings redefine ultra-luxury hospitality and mountain tourism. These two new properties are expected to enhance the travel experience for discerning guests.

Chris Newman, Executive Director of NEOM Hotel Development, highlighted the significance of the JW Marriott in positioning Trojena as a top-notch venue for global conferences, exhibitions, high-profile events, and more. Additionally, the W Hotels brand is expected to transform the way visitors experience entertainment, culture, and culinary offerings in this mountain destination.

Trojena is a flagship development within NEOM, with a focus on becoming a year-round adventure sports destination. It also aims to host the 2029 Asian Winter Games, further solidifying its position on the global stage in the world of mountain tourism and sports. This project reflects NEOM’s commitment to innovation and sustainable development, making it a significant endeavour in the region.
