IHG Hotels & Resorts has inked a management agreement with the King Abdullah Financial District Management and Development Company (KAFD DMC) to introduce two upscale properties in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The agreement lays the groundwork for the development of the Regent Riyadh KAFD and the InterContinental Riyadh KAFD, both set to redefine luxury hospitality in the region.
With a focus on catering to the kingdom’s growing demand for luxury experiences, IHG is poised to contribute to Riyadh’s transformation into a dynamic business and lifestyle hub. The Regent Riyadh KAFD, making its debut in Riyadh, will offer 250 rooms, distinguished dining options, fitness facilities, and comprehensive event spaces. Meanwhile, the InterContinental Riyadh KAFD, featuring 400 rooms, will boast a variety of dining venues, conferencing facilities, and leisure amenities including a spa and swimming pool.
Scheduled to open in 2027, these additions reinforce IHG’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s hospitality sector. The hotels will join IHG’s extensive portfolio in the region, which already comprises 43 properties across six renowned brands. With a robust pipeline of 32 hotels slated for opening between 2024 and 2028, IHG continues to strengthen its foothold in the Saudi market.
Haitham Mattar, Managing Director for India, the Middle East, and Africa at IHG Hotels and Resorts, expressed confidence in Riyadh’s ongoing transformation and affirmed IHG’s dedication to supporting the city’s development through strategic partnerships and premium hospitality offerings.
