Hublot & Depeche Mode Unveil Sinister Skull Watch

2 mins read

English electronic music band, Depeche Mode and Hublot have joined forces once again, this time unveiling the Spirit of Big Bang Depeche Mode watch, designed to support the Conservation Collective, a global network focused on environmental restoration and climate change mitigation.

The watch features a polished black ceramic 42mm case adorned with a grinning skull dial, symbolising the Latin phrase “Memento Mori” meaning “remember you must die.” As the wearer’s wrist moves, small black spheres within the dial move accordingly, adding a dynamic element to the design.

Emblazoned with the band’s iconic “DM” logo at 6 o’clock, the watch also includes a transparent caseback revealing the self-winding HUB1710_SD calibre movement. Accompanied by two straps—one made from recycled materials fastened by Velcro, and another from black rubber with a black titanium clasp—the watch is both stylish and sustainable.

In continuation of their philanthropic legacy, proceeds from the sales of this limited-edition timepiece will contribute to funding grass-roots initiatives aimed at restoring nature and combating climate change, building upon their previous collaborations that raised over $2.3 million for charitable causes.

For avid collectors and fans alike, each watch purchase includes an exclusive 10-inch vinyl single of Depeche Mode’s 2023 hit “Wagging Tongue,” manufactured using green energy and recycled Polyvinyl Chloride.

Priced at $34,100, the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Depeche Mode watch is now available, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to support environmental conservation efforts while adding a touch of dark elegance to their collection.
