In a move that underscores Dubai’s commitment to cutting-edge technology and bolstering its law enforcement capabilities, Dubai Police has acquired a fleet of 100 all-electric Audi RS e-tron GTs from Al Nabooda Automobiles. The delivery took place at the prestigious Dubai Police Officers’ Club, symbolising a significant step towards a sustainable and eco-friendly future for law enforcement.

These state-of-the-art vehicles, powered entirely by electricity, represent a paradigm shift in law enforcement transportation. With an impressive range of up to 488 kilometres, they are equipped to handle the demands of patrolling the bustling streets of Dubai efficiently. Each of these electric marvels boasts a robust 93.4 kWh battery, featuring cutting-edge 800 V technology that allows for swift charging, ensuring these vehicles remain on the road and ready for action.

The strategic alliance between Dubai Police and Al Nabooda Automobiles was formalised in a ceremony attended by high-ranking officials, marking a significant milestone in the city’s quest for advanced law enforcement infrastructure. This landmark agreement comes on the heels of Dubai Police’s grand unveiling of the Audi RS e-tron GT fleet at the esteemed Arabian Travel Market conference in May, an event that garnered considerable attention and acclaim.

Maj Gen Abdullah Al Ghaithi, assistant commander-in-chief for operations affairs at the Dubai Police Officers’ Club, emphasised the pivotal role these vehicles would play in enhancing the city’s security and traffic operations. In a statement, Maj Gen Al Ghaithi remarked, “Supporting the force’s fleet will enhance the security and traffic operations in the city. These cars have the latest technologies and a high level of performance to serve traffic movement and safety on major roads.”

Dubai Police’s existing supercar fleet already includes a lineup of prestigious vehicles, including Bentley Continental GT V8s, Mercedes, Maseratis, Aston Martins, and Cadillacs. However, the addition of the Audi RS e-tron GTs signifies a shift towards sustainable and eco-conscious policing.

K. Rajaram, chief executive of Al Nabooda Automobiles, expressed pride in their contribution to Dubai Police’s endeavours, stating, “We are proud to be supporting the efforts of Dubai Police by supplying a range of 100 Audi cars, including all-electric vehicles and the latest Audi models.”

The incorporation of these cutting-edge electric vehicles into Dubai Police’s fleet marks a visionary move towards a greener, more sustainable future for law enforcement, setting an example for cities around the world. As Dubai continues to invest in the latest technologies and innovative solutions, its commitment to safety and sustainability remains unwavering.
